I love the Prof’s videos! This is the only security one that’s confused me so far. It gets confusing at 2:20.
My interpretation is that without VLAN management, each device you add to a switch has to be part of the same VLAN. With VLAN management, you can specify exactly which devices go on each VLAN, even if they are connected to different switches.
So VLAN management adds much more flexibility in allowing you to specify exactly which devices belong to certain VLANs. Without it, each switch would constitute one separate VLAN.
