How are SATA drives faster IDE? Do they have faster seek times,or is the cables throughput?
The serial-based SATA technology runs at speeds that exceed PATA through the cable. The physical PATA disks and SATA disks aren’t very different.

I was wondering if there was any advantage to using the SATA Power versus the Legacy Power? I’m sure there is, I’m just curious what it would be. Thanks Professor!
