Garbage out.

When you print to a printer on the network, your output looks like garbage that contains odd characters and symbols. It doesn’t matter which application you use; all of your output is illegible. Other people can print to the network printer without any issues. What of these is the most likely cause of your issue?

A) Your network adapter is faulty

B) Your applications are configured incorrectly

C) The printer interface is faulty

D) Your printer driver is incorrect

E) It’s working just fine; you really are printing garbage.

The answer: D) Your printer driver is incorrect

An incorrect printer driver can cause many problems with your printouts, especially incorrect characters printing on your output. In severe cases, the entire printout can be full of odd characters and “garbage.”
