Which of these network types would be the best choice for someone who was constantly mobile?
A) DOCSIS
B) WiMAX
C) Satellite link
D) ISDN
E) ADSL
F) A very long Ethernet cable
The answer: B) WiMAX
The Mobile WiMAX specification provides a theoretical throughput of 1 Gbit/sec for fixed stations and a mobile station throughput of 100 Mbit/sec. DOCSIS, ISDN, and ADSL networks are fixed, and a satellite link doesn’t provide a reasonable method for always staying connected when mobile.
