My IP address is in my shoe

You need to configure your router so that all of your internal IP addresses appear as a single IP address to the rest of the Internet. What type of configuration do you need to make in your router to accomplish this?

A) DNAT

B) Static Route

C) SNAT

D) Default Gateway

E) Super Duper Secret Addressing

The answer: C) SNAT

A source network address translation is commonly used to modify a source IP address and make it appear as if it originated from a different IP address. This SNAT is commonly used to allow many internal workstations to appear as a different IP address to the Internet. This translation is also commonly called Port Address Translation, or PAT.
